Kenya's surveying and geospatial training is set for a significant overhaul following an agreement between the Land Surveyors’ Board and Universities to implement major reforms.

• The reforms aim to create a harmonized training framework, clear professional pathways, and align the profession with emerging technologies and industry needs.
• Key stakeholders involved include the Land Surveyors’ Board, various Universities, the Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA), the Council of Governors (CoG), and the Director of Surveys.
• A proposed Association of Surveying and Geospatial Engineering Chairpersons will be established to foster dialogue and curriculum harmonization.
