Governor Kihika and Senator Keroche clash during Senate Committee meeting - July 2026

A Senate County Public Accounts Committee meeting turned contentious as Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika and Nakuru Senator Tabitha Keroche clashed over the closure of Nakuru War Memorial Hospital and pending bills. The United Democratic Alliance party has urged the judiciary to cease what it describes as acts of sabotage against the government, amid ongoing tensions between the executive and judicial branches. Additionally, scores of people were injured when suspected hired goons attacked a Linda Mwananchi convoy in Keumbu, Kisii, by hurling stones and sticks.
