Kenya's coffee export earnings to the United States more than doubled in the first quarter of 2024, reaching $40.8 million, a significant increase attributed to the renewal of the African Growth and Opportunity Act (Agoa).

Export earnings rose by 101.2 percent compared to the same period last year.
The Agriculture and Food Authority (AFA) reported that the United States absorbed 43.2 percent of Kenya's total coffee exports.
The surge was driven by increased export volumes to 5,324.98 metric tonnes and stronger penetration into the lucrative US specialty coffee market.
