The Kenya National Public Health Institute (KNPHI), in partnership with the U.S. government's STRIDES program, has launched a mobile laboratory at Lwakhakha Point of Entry to bolster Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) preparedness.

• This new facility can deliver Ebola test results in approximately four hours, significantly reducing diagnostic turnaround times.
• The initiative was spearheaded by KNPHI, with Acting Director General Dr. Kamene Kimenye highlighting the importance of mobile labs in outbreak response.
• This marks Kenya's second mobile laboratory and the fifth supporting EVD diagnostics nationwide, enhancing surveillance at high-risk border entry points.
