Members of Parliament are being urged to establish Social Health Authority (SHA) support programmes to increase healthcare access and financial protection for Kenyans. This call follows the launch of the Belgut NG-CDF SHA Support Programme, aimed at enrolling vulnerable beneficiaries.

  • 700 vulnerable beneficiaries will be enrolled through the Belgut NG-CDF SHA Support Programme.
  • The initiative was supported by Principal Secretary for Public Health and Professional Standards, Mary Muthoni, and attended by local leaders including Kericho County Governor Dr Eric Mutai.
  • Across 17 counties and 33 constituencies, 15,238 vulnerable households have already been enrolled in SHA through 62 similar initiatives, representing over KSh 96 million in health insurance premiums.
