Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) leader Rigathi Gachagua has accused state officials of bribery and manipulation in the Ol Kalau by-election and called on the Independent Elections and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to intervene.

• Gachagua alleges that Cabinet Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, and other state officers are actively campaigning and distributing money in Ol Kalau to influence the July 16 by-election.
• He criticizes IEBC Chairperson Erastus Ethekon for alleged inaction in previous by-elections and for threatening to postpone the Ol Kalau polls.
• Gachagua claims the government has disbursed Sh1 billion for campaigns, with claims of President William Ruto using over Sh1 billion in cash bribes to favor the UDA candidate.
