Apartment prices in Kenya have continued their decline for the fourth consecutive quarter, dropping by 3% in the year to March, as an oversupply of flats contrasts with rising demand for standalone homes.
- Apartment prices have fallen for 13 out of the last 15 quarters.
- The Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS) reported that the cost of maisonettes, bungalows, and villas rose by 8.5%.
- In Nairobi, apartment prices in high-end estates fell by 4.8%, and by 3.3% in middle-income areas.
