President William Ruto flagged off the Harambee Starlets and Junior Starlets at State House, Nairobi, as they prepare to represent Kenya in Morocco for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) and the FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup, respectively.

The Junior Starlets are making their second appearance at the FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup.
The Government is investing heavily in sports development, with Talanta Sports City 95 percent complete and plans for 32 new stadia.
Last financial year, the Government invested KSh4.5 billion to support national teams.
