Four individuals associated with Nairobi County have been charged with two counts of manslaughter in connection with the fatal collapse of the Mamliz Towers building in South C, which resulted in the deaths of two people.

• Two people, Ali Adan Galgalo Abdi and Hassan Huka, died due to the incident on January 2, 2026.
• The accused, Abdishakur Muse Mohammed, Yussuf Mohammed Yussuf, Daniel Alphonse Odhiambo, and Gideon Chege Gakundi, were granted a 2 million shillings cash bail each.
• Additional charges include forgery related to construction approvals and commencing work without a valid Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) licence.
