Four individuals have been charged with manslaughter following the collapse of Mamzil Towers in South C, Nairobi, which resulted in two fatalities. The accused pleaded not guilty to the charges.

• The charges stem from the unlawful causing of death to Ali Adnan Galgalo Abdi and Hassan Huka on January 2, 2026.
• The accused include Abdishakur Muse Mohammed, Yussuf Mohammed Yussuf, engineer Daniel Alphonse Odhiambo, and Gedion Chege Gakundi.
• Additionally, Abdishakur and Yussuf face multiple charges of forgery related to construction approvals and reports submitted to the National Construction Authority (NCA).
• A member of the Nairobi County Urban Planning and Technical Committee, Fredrick Ondari Ochanda, has been summoned to appear in court on July 27, 2026, to face charges of abuse of office.
• Each of the four accused was granted a bond of Sh5 million with one surety of a similar amount.
