Africa's biotechnology and biosafety information has been centralized with the launch of the 'Biotech Africa Database' portal, a digital resource designed to streamline access to crucial regulatory data.

• The portal provides country-specific information on biotech crop approval decisions and regulatory requirements for import, export, and transit of biotech products.
• Developed by the International Service for the Acquisition of Agri-biotech Applications (ISAAA AfriCenter) and its partners, including Dr. Margaret Karembu.
• This initiative aims to combat misinformation and support informed decision-making for traders, regulators, and researchers across the continent, with Kenya being one of the participating countries.
