A father and son in Kilifi, Kenya have been sentenced to one year in prison each for assaulting a woman they falsely accused of causing the son's genitals to disappear through witchcraft.

• The assault occurred on July 5 in Mdangarani village.
• The convicted are Benson Ngala Daniel, 49, and his son, Ruphus Chai Ngala, 19.
• Medical examination confirmed Ruphus's genitals were intact, disproving his witchcraft claim.
