More than 50,000 Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) personnel will now have access to subsidized mortgages at a 4% interest rate through a new housing scheme. This initiative is a collaboration between KCB Bank Kenya, the Ministry of Lands, Public Works, Housing and Urban Development, and the Ministry of Defence.

• The programme allows KDF personnel to access low-interest financing for purchasing homes and plots, construction, project completion, and mortgage transfers.
• Key figures involved include KCB Bank Kenya Managing Director Anastacia Kimtai, Housing Principal Secretary Charles Hinga, and Chief of the Kenya Defence Forces General Charles Kahariri.
• This initiative is part of the government's effort to provide affordable housing for security agencies, with over Sh25 billion already invested in KDF housing projects.
