The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has officially debunked a viral social media notice claiming an upcoming salary increment for teachers in July 2026.

• The fake notice purported to announce the second phase of the 2021–2025 Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) salary increment and the payment of arrears in the August 2026 payroll.
• The TSC, through its acting CEO Eveleen Mitei, has categorically stated that the circulated letter is "fake."
• The fabricated document, dated July 16, 2026, also falsely mentioned government funding for increments, promotions, and Junior Secondary School teacher employment.
