Nairobi's Kamukunji Police Station is set to undergo a major redevelopment, transforming it into the proposed headquarters for the Nairobi Metropolitan Police Unit (NMPU).

• The redevelopment aims to create an Integrated Command and Communication Centre (IC4) for real-time surveillance and emergency response across the capital.
• The Ministry of Interior selected Kamukunji due to its strategic location at the heart of Nairobi's commercial activity and complex security demands.
• Construction is expected to commence in August, with the project forming part of wider reforms within the National Police Service.
