The Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) has successfully foiled multiple terrorist plots in Lamu County by discovering and neutralizing four improvised explosive devices (IEDs) planted along key supply routes.

• KDF troops detected and safely detonated a concealed pressure plate IED.
• Three additional IEDs were found and disposed of by Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) specialists in the Sarira area.
• These successful operations under Operation Amani Boni (OAB) highlight the continued pressure on terrorist elements and ensure the safety of civilians and vital transport routes.
