Kenya's Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC) is adopting the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System to enhance its services amidst rising cyber threats and a rapidly expanding digital economy.

• Kenya loses an estimated Sh29 billion annually to cybersecurity threats.
• The initiative was supported by the World Bank through the Kenya Digital Economy Acceleration Project (KDEAP).
• The ODPC aims to improve service delivery, strengthen accountability, and standardize processes, beginning a phased journey towards full ISO certification by July 14, 2026.
