India has delivered its first 4.5 tonnes of medical supplies to Kenya to bolster the nation's preparedness for Ebola Virus Disease and other emerging infectious threats.

• The initial consignment includes 279 packages of essential medical supplies, such as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), sample kits, and infection control materials.
• The supplies were handed over by India’s High Commissioner to Kenya, Dr. Adarsh Swaika, to Kenya's Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).
• This donation is part of a larger program designed to strengthen the Kenya National Public Health Institute (KNPHI) and frontline public health institutions, building on India's previous support to the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC).
