The Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) has issued new regulations mandating a minimum 1-year warranty on all refurbished and used electronic devices sold in Kenya.

• A minimum 1-year warranty and return policy is now mandatory for all gadget retailers.
• Refurbished devices must be clearly labeled as such.
• Vendors face fines of at least KES 500,000 or 0.2% of their annual turnover for violations.
