The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has intensified road safety checks and awareness campaigns ahead of the August school holidays as part of Operation Watoto Wafike Salama.

• The operation aims to ensure learners travel home safely by conducting random vehicle inspections.

• Drivers will face strict enforcement of traffic laws regarding speeding, overloading, drunk driving, and fatigue, with mandatory presentation of valid licenses and certificates.
