The Anzauni clan, one of the largest in the Akamba community, is set to formally revive its traditional leadership with the installation of its first officially recognized clan chief, Dr. Augustus Kyalo Muli. This historic move aims to restore cultural identity and strengthen the community's voice after more than six decades.

• The installation ceremony for Chief Kyalo Muli I is scheduled for October 3, 2026, in Kitui Town and is expected to draw over 10,000 attendees.
• The Anzauni clan, with an estimated 400,000 members, spans across several counties and parts of Tanzania.
• The new chief will lead the clan under the patronage of the Akamba Clan Governing Council, focusing on cultural preservation, dispute resolution, and community development.
