Joshua Amunga Mboya has secured Kenya's first medal at the 2026 Glasgow Commonwealth Games, winning bronze in the Men's 60kg weightlifting competition.

• Amunga lifted a combined total of 260kg (115kg snatch, 145kg clean and jerk) to claim third place.
• The medal was won by 20-year-old weightlifter Joshua Amunga Mboya.
• This is Kenya's first medal of the Games and comes after Amunga recovered from an injury sustained in April.
