The High Court has temporarily halted the prosecution and arrest of two Nairobi County officials, Patrick Analo and David Kibui Kigathi, in connection with the collapse of Manzil Towers which resulted in two deaths.

• The court granted leave for Analo and Kigathi to apply for orders to quash the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) decision to charge them with abuse of office, staying any further criminal proceedings.
• Patrick Analo, a former Chief Officer for Urban Planning, was reportedly found with Sh5.3 million in cash during an earlier operation.
• The collapse of Manzil Towers on January 2, 2026, led to manslaughter charges against the building's owners and engineers, who have pleaded not guilty.
