Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja has confirmed that Kenya's Instant Traffic Fines Framework is fully operational nationwide, despite ongoing public confusion and some court challenges.

• The framework is being implemented jointly by the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA), the National Police Service (NPS), the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP), and the Judiciary.
• IG Kanja, speaking through Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Mohamed Amin, stressed continued inter-agency coordination to harmonize the system with due process.
• Recent uncertainty arose from reports of fines despite legal proceedings, though NTSA Director General Nashon Kondiwa clarified that court cases affect specific zones, not the entire program.
