Kenyan businessman Charles Edward was found murdered in his rented house in Mamboleo, Kisumu on Sunday night, an incident that began with a mysterious visitor the previous evening.

• Edward was discovered deceased with severe head injuries, and had possibly been strangled.
• Investigators are looking into a handwritten message found on the wall and allege Edward had received prior threats regarding a relationship with a married woman.
• His neighbor, Festus Kirui, reported Edward mentioned a visitor who wished to remain unseen, whose husband had previously warned Edward away.
