Two Ugandan officials have been appointed to the Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) Board following the Uganda National Oil Company (UNOC)'s acquisition of a 20.15 percent stake in the firm.

• UNOC's acquisition of 20.15% of KPC for approximately Sh100 billion.
• New board members include Ramathan Ggoobi, Permanent Secretary and Secretary to the Treasury for Uganda, and Irene Pauline Bateebe, Permanent Secretary at the Ugandan Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development.
• This transaction reduces the Kenyan Government's shareholding in KPC to 35 percent.
