The Employment and Labour Relations Court has ordered the National Police Service (NPS) and the National Police Service Commission (NPSC) to pay a former police officer over Sh4.3 million within 60 days.

The total amount to be paid is Sh4,363,425, plus taxed costs and interest.
The payment is to a former officer, Naomi Wambui Maina, who was illegally dismissed.
The court found the police agencies' delay in settling the award, despite admitting the debt, to be unjustified.
