Public Service CS Geoffrey Ruku has accused former President Uhuru Kenyatta and former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua of undermining the Mt Kenya community by opposing President William Ruto before the end of his term.

• CS Ruku stated that Kenyatta and Gachagua are making the Mt Kenya people appear untrustworthy by not honouring their earlier commitment to support President Ruto for two terms.
• He dismissed claims of the Kenya Kwanza administration sidelining Mt Kenya as false narratives intended to create division.
• CS Ruku asserted that Mt Kenya East will remain loyal to the government and support President Ruto's development agenda, citing numerous government positions held by leaders from the region.
