The African Cashew Alliance (ACA), in partnership with other regional bodies, has conducted intensive training sessions to boost the cashew nut industry in Kenya and nine other African countries.

• 81 participants from across the continent received training focused on enhancing production, processing, value addition, and marketing of cashew nuts.
• Key organizations involved include the ACA, MOVE, the East African Community (EAC) Secretariat, the European Union (EU), and the Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS).
• The training aims to revive the cashew sector, historically referred to as 'white gold,' by addressing challenges like old trees and a significant processing gap, with the goal of increasing farmer incomes and creating jobs.
