The Azimio Coalition has welcomed Fred Matiang'i and two others onto its National Council, signaling a significant reorganisation ahead of future political activities.

Fred Matiang'i, former Meru Governor Peter Munya, and former Embu Senator Lenny Kivuti were admitted to the National Council following a meeting on Monday, August 3.
The coalition also announced plans for a full rebranding and invited several parties, including DAP Kenya, Umoja Na Maendeleo, PDP, and the Democratic Party, to join.
The changes were revealed by Council Secretary General Caroli Omondi, who confirmed the admission of the three new members to the top decision-making body.
