Kenya recently hosted internet experts from 25 African countries for a two-week training summit in Nairobi focused on strengthening cybersecurity and managing critical internet infrastructure.

• The summit brought together 45 specialists responsible for managing national internet domains (ccTLDs) across the continent.
• The event was hosted by the Kenya Network Information Centre (KeNIC), funded by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), and partnered with the African Advanced Level Telecommunications Institute (AFRALTI).
• The training covered registry management, cybersecurity, and operational resilience, with participants set to receive professional certification through AFRALTI.
