Murang'a Governor Irungu Kang'ata has been ranked the top performing governor in the latest Infotrak Governor Performance Index, unseating Trans-Nzoia's George Natembeya.

• Governor Kang'ata's approval rating surged to 80 percent, placing him at the top.
• George Natembeya is now in second place with 76 percent approval, while Kiambu Governor Kimani Wamatangi made a significant jump to third place with 71 percent.
• The index tracks governor approval ratings from 2023 through 2026, providing insights ahead of the 2027 General Election.
