President William Ruto has stated that his government has fulfilled key electoral promises made to the Muslim community, highlighting an end to discriminatory vetting for identification documents and advancing inclusion.

• The government has formally ended decades-old extra-vetting processes targeting the Muslim population in border areas for national identity cards and passports.
• President Ruto also assured that the delayed law on Muslim endowment funds (Waqf) will be ready by September 2026.
• Additionally, he noted the progress on the 750km Isiolo-Mandera road corridor, intended to link marginalized communities to economic markets and services.
