Governors have declared the ongoing nurses' strike illegal and threatened action against striking health workers, while the nurses' union insists they will not return to work until their demands are met.

• The Council of Governors (COG) chairman, Ahmed Abdullahi, stated that negotiations for the new Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs) are ongoing.
• The nurses' union is demanding the signing and submission of the negotiated CBA to the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC), along with other grievances like permanent and pensionable employment terms for UHC nurses.
• Notable demands include an increase in uniform allowance from Sh10,000 to Sh25,000 over three quarters and a monthly risk allowance of Sh10,000.
