A 26-year-old woman is in critical condition after a leopard attack in Mangai village, Lamu County. The incident occurred early Saturday morning when the animal first attacked the woman's father.

• The woman sustained severe injuries to her head, face, ribs, and limbs.
• The Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) and the County Emergency Operation Centre (EOC) responded to the incident.
• A neighbor intervened with a piece of firewood, driving the leopard away and saving the woman's life.
