Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has stated that winning the presidency in 2027 requires more than just political rallies and slogans, emphasizing the need for credible policies and a clear national agenda.

A presidential candidate needs to secure over 50% of the national vote and at least 25% in more than half of Kenya's 47 counties, as per Article 138 of the Constitution.
Mudavadi highlighted the potential advantage for President William Ruto through the emerging cooperation between UDA and ODM under the Broad-Based Government.
He also pointed to infrastructure projects planned for Western Kenya, including the extension of the Rironi-Mau Summit Road towards Malaba and the expansion of the Standard Gauge Railway.
