New boxing champions have been crowned following a series of invitational tournaments held over the weekend in Nakuru and Nairobi.

• African Youth Games bronze medallist Clinton Omondi claimed the minimumweight title at the Robert Wangila Memorial Championships in Nairobi.
• The Robert Wangila Memorial Championships honored the late boxer, a 1988 Seoul Olympics gold medallist.
• In Molo, Sonia Atieno emerged victorious in the minimumweight category at the Inter Junior Championships.
