A fire at the Musaga Substation in Kakamega on Friday, August 7, disrupted power supply to five counties. Kenya Power has since restored 90% of electricity to affected customers.

Approximately 90% of customers have had their power restored.
Kenya Power, led by its Managing Director and CEO, Dr Eng Joseph Siror, is managing the restoration efforts.
Power is currently being rerouted through six alternative substations, and some areas may experience low voltage due to temporary arrangements.
