The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has initiated the process to bring a private investor onto the Nairobi-Mombasa Road through a public-private partnership (PPP) model.

• KeNHA is seeking a consultant for feasibility studies and transaction advisory services, a process expected to take 15 months.
• The consultancy will assess the viability and structure for expanding the 461-kilometer A8 highway into a minimum four-lane dual carriageway.
• This move follows the recent cancellation of the Ksh468 billion "Usahihi" Expressway project by the Treasury's PPP Committee.
