The Commission on Administrative Justice (CAJ) has recommended the immediate revocation of five appointments in the Siaya County Government, citing unlawful and irregular practices.

• Five appointments flagged as irregular, including Acting Chief Officer for Tourism, Acting County Attorney, Director of the Governor’s Press, Acting County Secretary, and the Finance and Economic Planning County Executive Committee (CEC) Member.
• The directive was issued following a request from the Siaya County Assembly, which alleged breaches of constitutional and statutory requirements.
• The Ombudsman noted a persistent disregard for public appointment regulations, recommending investigations by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) and a special audit.
