Nation DT Sacco members are set to vote on a new delegate system of governance this Saturday, facing opposition from consumer groups concerned about diminished direct member participation.

• The Federation of Kenya Consumers (COFEK), led by Secretary General Stephen Mutoro, is urging members to protect their direct voting rights.
• The proposed system follows a directive from the Commissioner for Cooperative Development requiring cooperatives with over 5,000 members to adopt delegate models for manageability.
