• National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung'wah led the counter-attack, challenging Mr. Gachagua to account for his two-year tenure and accusing him of "double-speak" and disparaging the government.
• The pro-government MPs defended the administration's record, citing a decline in maize flour prices and reforms in the health sector, including the Social Health Authority (SHA).
• Mr. Ichung'wah also defended government programs like the Affordable Housing Programme and criticized Mr. Gachagua for allegedly politicizing security matters and exploiting the death of Raila Odinga.
