The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has charged two former public employees for allegedly using forged academic certificates to secure jobs and illicitly earn substantial salaries.

One former employee is accused of fraudulently acquiring Ksh15.86 million through a forged Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).
Key organizations involved are the EACC, Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company (NCWSC), and Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital.
Both suspects, arraigned at the Milimani Anti-Corruption Court, were released on Ksh100,000 cash bail or a Ksh1 million bond.
