Nairobi's skyline was illuminated by a spectacular display of 500 drones on Thursday night, celebrating the deepening ties between Kenya and China.

• The drone show, the largest of its kind in Kenya, depicted symbols of friendship, culture, sport, wildlife, infrastructure, and trade.
• The event was part of the 2026 China-Africa Year of People-to-People Exchanges, marking 70 years of diplomatic relations.
• The spectacle included formations of the Kenyan flag, a Terracotta Warrior playing football, and images of Kenya's Big Five wildlife.
