Kutus town is set for a major facelift with a Ksh33 million modernization project funded by the World Bank through the Kenya Urban Support Program (KUSP).

• The project will include 2,500 square meters of cabro paving, new walkways, drainage systems, and 74 modern stalls housed in container units.
• The initiative is spearheaded by Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru, aiming to create a more conducive business environment and address sanitation challenges.
• Local traders have been consulted and will be temporarily relocated during construction, with the project expected to benefit over 500 traders and residents upon completion.
