Kenyans will see a reduction in diesel prices following an announcement by the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA). The price of a litre of diesel has been cut by Sh5, offering some relief to motorists and industries.

• A litre of diesel will now retail at Sh217.86 in Nairobi.
• EPRA retained the prices for super petrol and kerosene, attributing this to government stabilisation support of Sh938 million.
• This price adjustment comes amid efforts to tame inflation, which stood at 6.5 per cent in July, with food inflation at 9.0 per cent and transport costs spiking by 15.6 per cent.
