Kenyan Cabinet Secretary Hon. Julius Migos Ogamba has urged universities to accelerate the commercialization of research and innovation to foster job creation and address Africa's development challenges.
- 5,035 students graduated from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) and the Pan African University Institute for Basic Sciences, Technology and Innovation (PAUSTI) during a joint ceremony on Friday, August 14, 2026.
- Education Cabinet Secretary Hon. Julius Migos Ogamba, represented by Principal Secretary Dr Esther Thaara Muoria, emphasized translating innovations into viable products and services.
- JKUAT is actively pursuing partnerships and aligning academic programs to contribute to national strategies like Kenya's National AI Strategy and developing cleaner maritime technologies.
