A newlywed couple in Murang'a County was found dead just hours after their wedding, in what police are investigating as a possible murder-suicide.

• The couple, identified as Patrick Mwangi, 28, and Jackline Wambui, 25, married on August 9, 2026.
• They moved in together around 4pm and were discovered deceased by 7:30pm.
• Police suspect Mr. Mwangi strangled Ms. Wambui before taking his own life.
