Kenya is planning a major expressway network linking Mombasa to the Uganda border, integrating existing and proposed roads to boost regional trade. The project is being pursued under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) framework.

• The network will connect the Mombasa-Nairobi Highway to the Nairobi Expressway, the planned Rironi-Mau Summit Highway, and the Mau Summit-Eldoret-Malaba road.
• The initiative is spearheaded by Kefa Seda, Director General of the Directorate of Public-Private Partnerships.
• This integrated transport network aims to strengthen the Northern Corridor and improve cargo movement from the Port of Mombasa to regional markets.
