The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has initiated the search for a new Director General, months after the former head resigned amid controversy. An advertisement for the position was published on Tuesday, August 18.

• The recruitment follows the resignation of former Director General Daniel Kiptoo in April, linked to allegations of importing sub-standard fuel worth over Ksh4 billion.
• EPRA is seeking a Kenyan with at least seven years of senior management experience and two years in the petroleum and energy sector.
• Joseph Oketch, who previously led the Electricity and Renewable Energy Directorate, is currently serving as the Acting Director General.
